For
years I wanted to express myself artistically. I tried
drawing, painting, crafting... but nothing seemed to be the right
endeavor. Then in 1999 I saw the work of some amazing jewelry artisans
and I knew I had found my medium for expressing myself.
I like working with all different jewelry mediums, from beading, wire
work to polymer clay. Polymer clay is a fascinating medium from
which all different shapes and designs can be created and by mixing the
various colors a huge palette of colors is unearthed. My other
love is copper in all it's
variations...bright shiny copper, antiqued copper, heated copper. I
will be concentrating on designs utilizing polymer clay and wire
work in brass, copper and sterling this year.
I am inspired by
color...dazzling amazing color! Bright colors, cool colors, colors
found in nature and colors of the imagination. Inspiration is to be
found everywhere... from a piece
of broken jewelry, a dazzling artglass stone, an unusual finding or
out in nature.
Each piece is handmade by
me. I take great pride in my creations and I design and craft my
jewelry with care and attention to detail. A piece isn't finished until
it's a piece I can be proud of.
